Windows 10 reported to be the new Microsoft OS
We recently discussed features of Windows 9 and as being the new Windows operating system, but according to recent articles posted on The Verge.com and NetworkWorld.com websites, the official name will be Windows 1o. The recent report is that Microsoft is set to release the new Windows operating system “Windows 10” sometime in 2015 and past rumors of other names such as Windows 9, Windows X, or Windows One are being thrown out the window.

Also in the article is a statement from Microsoft saying “Windows 10 will run across an incredibly broad set of devices – from the Internet of Things, to servers in enterprise datacenters worldwide. Some of these devices have 4 inch screens – some have 80 inch screens – and some don’t have screens at all. Some of these devices you hold in your hand, others are ten feet away. Some of these devices you primarily use touch/pen, others mouse/keyboard, others controller/gesture – and some devices can switch between input types”.

We also found an interesting piece by Yahoo on the reason for the name Windows 10 as the next operating system for Windows. It could be related to the number 9 in coding of third party developers or just simply making a bolder statement by MS. Either way, it seems to be an interesting speculation.
