Microsoft is expected to release approximately 6 security updates in this month’s (July 2014) Patch Tuesday according to an article by Computer World website. Two of which are critical updates for all versions of Internet Explorer. The other 4 updates are for various Windows operating systems, three of them are rated “important”, and the remaining update is at a “moderate” level. This Patch Tuesday is reported to have a much smaller number of updates than the Patch Tuesday last month in June, which recorded almost 60 updates.
Also to note, Windows 7 users will not receive IE11 browser updates unless they have installed the mandatory IE11 update released this past April.
