Mozilla patches critical holes in FireFox Browser
Mozilla has patched 20 security vulnerabilities in it’s FireFox browser after exploits were discovered at the “Pwn2Own” hacking contest, in which participants are rewarded for their efforts. This update “FireFox 28” can be downloaded from Mozilla’s website for Windows, MAC, and Linux users and Android users can retrieve the download from Google Play store. So, if you are running FireFox browser, which accounts for approx. 17.7% of desktop browsers according to the firm “Net Applications”, it is advised to update asap. And to note, other browsers such as Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and Microsoft IE were also included in the “Pwn2Own” event. Google Chrome issued patches as well and Microsoft included updates in their recent Patch Tuesday.
