New law to prevent illegal peer- to- peer file sharing to go into effect


A new anti-piracy law seeking to monitor and prevent unauthorized distribution of copyright information on the internet is scheduled to take effect by the end of the year.  Copyright holders, ISPs, and the U.S. Government created the initiative called “Copyright Alert System”, aiming to prevent infringement on intellectual property.  Critics of the plan point out the many details of the plan that need refinement, however most agree it is a good start to enforce copyright infringement laws.
